Masks. They have been a companion to humanity since almost the beginning of time. Shamans, spiritual healers, and other figures distinguished from the masses by their status wore masks. Today we use them, for example, at carnivals, theater performances, and in films. They are our daily companions, as we, ordinary people, also wear masks, figuratively speaking. They help us control our outward emotions and prevent others from revealing our secrets. Masks are also widely used by fighters of all kinds. They serve various functions: first, they are intended to protect the face from the impact of the opponent's weapons; but a mask also makes it more difficult for the opponent to "read" the other person's face and predict their reactions or next steps. Designed accordingly, a mask can also intimidate and frighten, which can give the wearer a certain advantage.
