Description
The Eyelash Pit Viper is best known for the eyelash-like scales above its eyes.
It has adapted to a nearly completely tree dwelling lifestyle & possesses a strong, prehensile tail with which it secures itself to tree limbs.
It is a venomous native to Columbia in South America, although it is frequently available in the exotic animal trade and is well represented in zoos worldwide.
