Description
These are 2 shots of Grandmaster Tiger Kim showing off his stuff at Madison Square Garden.
I only had a 50mm lens so I couldn't zoom in any closer.
Just did some research on this guy and was surprised at how sparse, sloppy and confusing the info on him is. I can't even find the exact date he died (apparently in 2018?). Even the few old photos and videos of him seem to have the dates either all mixed up, or non-existent. One site, for example, claims the above scenes to be from 1976 -- I didn't even have a camera in 1976! -- LOL. So sad and disappointing.

i think in this case the 50 mm has worked to your advantage, capturing the atmosphere of the event....
I suppose so.
I can just imagine having a modern DSLR with a good zoom ... you could see every strand of hair on those fighters. Even some smart phones can now produce some astonishing telephoto images.
Or he was a spy from a very distant future and needed to keep few infos on him ;) Great photos anyway!
I never even thought of that possibility;-)
Right lens for sure...really gives us the feel of the event and also the action :)
On second thought, even if I had a modern zoom, I could only capture 1 shot of this moment, so a close-up may not have been better at all.
