Description
HI and hope your well :)
This was inspired by an asset by Stonemason called Abyss. I really liked what I saw but not the spare $$$ to buy it right now so I wandered through my assets and kitbashed this to satisfy my urge :)
Many hours later I came up with this result with the clone troops being deployed on a rock somewhere in the Star Wars galaxy with Ashoka, Anakin and Obi Wan and was quite pleased with the result. I hope you enjoy and thanks for dropping by , peace.
Straight render out of Daz, no postwork.

...right out of a film!! you really know no bounds with your scene/environment creativity and style - extremely admirable :))
Thank you so much and I do my best to try and bring a vision of another world, another life :)
That rock wall looks amazing, especially with that entrance. Reminds me of the video games where you have to somehow sneak past all the armed soldiers without getting killed.
Yes I had fun building this one...lots of geometry editing to get the tunnel looking good in the rock wall and the rocks were 4 props stretched, scaled, twisted and shoved into each other. Lots of node instances later I had a canyon and that canyon was the very last thing added to this scene as well then I shoved a big ghost light into the tunnel and done :)
Thanks for taking a peek Max :)
Very cool scene!
Thank you very much :)
Well done. Looks probably even better with the music.
I will have to try that, had the tune in my head the whole time I was putting this together...lol
Thank you very much :)
Stunning sci-fi images, excellent performances👍🙋♂️
Thank you very much :)
Fantastic! You make such fantastic scenes with DAZ!
Thank you very much and always trying something new in Daz :)
very well done! looks like movie scene..
Thank you very much :)
Great image
Thank you very much :)
Spectacular and epic, I can hear John Williams score swelling in the background.
Thank you very much and can still hear the theme in my head now...lol
Hi, that's simply epic. Was that really rendered in one pass in DAZ Studio with full figures? That only works with high-end hardware, if at all, but no, DAZ Studio, really? I could imagine it being possible given the small size of the models. Anyway, that's a real incentive for me to try something like that, thanks :) And no, you won't see that in any Star Wars films anymore. Disney messed that up...
Greetings, Stormrider75
Yes, all one render out of Daz :) Scene has 3 G8 characters, 2 G3 characters, 1 of each craft 4 wall sections and 2 platforms and 1 walkway. Everything else are node instances, lots and lots of them to make up all the soldiers, ships and canyon walls. The ships are all obj files from sketch fab and cgtrader so that saves on resources as well.
My rig is running 32gb ram on board and I am using an rtx4080 graphics card with 16gb ram. The whole rig cost me just under 5k in 2023. Nearly all my posts are single scenes out of Daz unless I make mention of it in the text box when I need to do a few renders separately to make a scene. Render time for this was just under 1 hour at 25000 iterations.
So its simply a matter of using the minimal amount of the right assets and then creating node instances to fill in the scene.
Thanks for dropping by and happy to share any detailed info like settings etc for this scene with you in the future :)
Love it
Thank you very much :)
Excellent render!
Thank you very much :)
Excellent work!!!
Thank you very much :)
That's a really epic Star Wars scene! Very well done!!!!
Thank you very much :)
Fantastic! Great use of elements. Smokin' composition.
Am enjoying the Kit Bash experience and really amazed at what one can create from doing that.
Thank you :)
Superb scifi scene...things are too expensive so, you're right, the time has come to use old items we have in our libraries.
Save the internet and recycle right....lol
Thank you Gaius :)
I'd call that some pretty awesome kit-bashing, my friend! This is a truly epic SW scene!
I've been going through all my older drives, and a bunch of BlueRays and DVDs - I can't believe the amount of "stuff" I've gathered in the 15 or so years I've been doing this. It's nuts. Yeah, I need to use this stuff!
Amazing what we collect, thank god we don't have to store all these assets in the back shed, bedroom, bathroom...lol
Our partners would leave us. Thanks Rod for dropping by :)
Properly cinematic; and the alliance cruiser has a genuine feel of scale; it looks BIG...not easy to do.
You got that right...I played and played with that ship for longer than I care to admit...lol
Thank you :)
Super cool Star Wars scene, words are hard to describe the immense view in this render. Super awesome!
Thank you so much. I really wanted to create something cinematic and have that Star Wars feel and immersion so very happy you enjoyed this. Very much appreciated :)
Nice lighting and atmosphere work in this. I also think it is more fun when you can kitbash things together to make it work :)
