One of the greatest composers of all time...

Great portraits and costumes! So I guess, you have seen the movie "Louis" These days? No. 6 reminds me of the scene where he quotes the "ode an die Freude" in his Bonner accent :)
The idea of creating a small memorial to one of the greatest composers of all time came to me during something much more mundane. I was listening (once again!) to a modern interpretation of Johann Sebastian Bach's Brandenburg Concertos and wondered: who is actually the most famous and influential composer of all time? After careful consideration—and certainly not without justification!—I decided on Ludwig van Beethoven, partly, but not only, because he is so often cited in modern music, both in his music and as a person ("Roll over Beethoven"). To my shame, I must confess that I'm unfortunately not familiar with the film you mentioned (but I can catch up!). Thanks anyway for stopping by and for the lovely comment!
Sorry to say it just vanished from the ard-mediathek. If you have a chance to find it elsewhere, you Must see it. Perhaps on "filmfriends.de" someday (not now, I've checked) If you are a member of a library in your town you can access movies with your membership card number. The movie is a bit confusing with it's hopping through times to and fro - but it's worthwhile watching it to the end.
Correction: the movie is still there: ardmediathek.de/one
