~Zatanna Zatara~
Zatanna Zatara is DC’s magical mistress of mischief, blending stage magician flair with real supernatural power! Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Murphy Anderson in Hawkman #4 (1964), she’s the daughter of Golden Age magician Giovanni Zatara, inheriting his reality-warping abilities, but with a twist. She casts spells by speaking backwards (“Ekat em ot eht ecneics riaf!” = “Take me to the science fair!”), fights alongside the Justice League, and often teams up with Batman (who has a soft spot for her).
** Fun fact: Zatanna’s pantyhose and top-hat look were inspired by real-life stage magicians, but her legacy runs deeper - she’s one of DC’s most powerful sorceresses, even tutoring Doctor Fate!
