Wow. My racoons only show up at night.
They are typically more active at night for sure but I have seen them occasionally out during the day. I never had the experience myself but it was in the news a few times with them even appearing on the transit! :)
They are very interesting animals. They leave my cats alone. One of them has even become friends with one of my cats. One night I came out and the raccoon and my cat were sitting next to each other. They aren't aggressive and love to eat cat food.
