Description
While most of humanity remained focused on mining operations in the Sol system and around Alpha Centauri, a quieter but significant effort was also being devoted to the deeper probing of faster-than-light physics.
This effort soon paid off as a third quantum level of hyperspeed, 25 times faster than level-2, was discovered, but making it commercially viable remained elusive for several years. It was the Germans who finally solved the mystery and made this new technology not only practical but refined it into a more compact and efficient form.
7 years after humanity first reached Alpha Centauri, Germany completed construction of the first Level-3 FTL vessel in their underground lunar facility -- a ship destined to achieve speeds 800 times faster than level-1, and 5600 times faster than light.

Wow, you are now up to FTL level-3 your scientific team has been putting in a great effort in staying ahead of the space race. I will look forward to part 2 to see how this story develops Max.

Part 2 of this one is in the oven ... but it involves getting a bunch of separate images to be properly assembled into a single one so it looks half-decent ... It's more difficult than many of my earlier pics from last year.
So does this mean that the first FTL unit is now obsolete and available for me to pick up at a great discount....lol

LoL ... actually you just might be able to pick one up real cheap at one of those government surplus warehouses;-)
And smart thinking -- those level-1 FTL's are perfectly fine for all interplanetary travel ... they'll still get you to Mars in 2 minutes ... so you better get one fast before others also wise-up and snatch'em all up!
