“Where Eagles Fly” “Print 131” As I have mentioned periodically throughout the creation of the illustrations that I have designed, the inspiration can come from anywhere or anything. It can be as small as a quote from a conversation that I may have had with a close friend or a stranger over dinner from a previous evening, or as big as the sights and sounds that surround me throughout any given day. Another method that I use quite frequently to get my creative juices flowing is whenever I have the opportunity to listen to music. I like it all. I find myself tuning into all types of Jonras, from old rock to folk, you name it, I’m there. In this print, “Where Eagles Fly,” I have tried to illustrate the song title by famed rocker Sammy Hagar. The song's beat is rather uplifting and carries within it a very positive aura to all who listen. It is a hard-rocking song, which is typical of Van Halen. What intrigued me the most, though, were the lyrics that encompass the melody. There is a refrain in the lyrics that states, “ Lift me up so high where eagles fly.” Furthermore, I believe with all my heart that someday we all will be “ Where Eagles Fly “.
