Description
Another species from my upcoming "Birds of the Mesozoic"...
Archibald’s Bird Lizard was discovered at the Hell's Creek Formation in Montana and existed 65.5 million years ago (late Cretaceous Period). This species is only known by its foot bones and an undescribed partial skeleton. The inward pointing toe and short, robust tarsus in some ways resembles that of eudromaeosaurs. This "raptor toe" may have been used for pinning and seizing prey.

Their look makes me think of those bird things from the last Star Wars films.... Wonder if they got the idea for them from Archibald’s Bird Lizard ???
