(My 'Grand Finale' of the first Flynt saga. There might be a possible sequel somewhere in the dark void but right now I'm all out of fresh ideas. Live long and happy, everyone!)

Captain's log stardate 2176-11:
"It’s been nearly two years since we first set foot on Dolaris. In that time our human population has grown from 216 to 218, following the joyful arrival of two baby girls. The planet’s vast landscapes have become our new home, a place where we have adapted quite nicely.
1,500 androids chose to remain on Dolaris. Of these, 60 -- including Polaris -- opted to stay with our human colony, while the rest dispersed into 15 small groups scattered across the planet. The majority of androids, however, established bases throughout this star system, concealed within asteroids and moons—a strategic decision that I find particularly ingenious.
With the assistance of our droids and several construction robots, we’ve thus far managed to build enough shelters to comfortably house 140 families. Meanwhile, across the valley, the Vampires have constructed a magnificent palace for themselves. They occasionally visit us to partake in festivities or join our expeditions to explore the planet's wonders. Their presence remains enigmatic yet oddly harmonious in this shared world.
Yesterday Dorothy briefed me on the latest news from three of our undercover droids who remained on Earth -- apparently the human population is alive and well, eagerly serving their Vellari masters, with their spirits kept high by perpetual hope.
I asked her if she ever considered sweeping in, exterminating the Vellari and liberating humanity, and she told me:
'My dear Flynt, I’ve run every sim, seen every outcome -- no perfect fix here -- just less disastrous ones. What I said before still stands: wiping out the Vellari now would plunge everything into chaos, unleashing more suffering on humanity. Better to let ‘em live, chasing their empty hopes, than to unravel the fragile balance and trigger wars or famine. They made their choice; let it play out. But if you’re set on freeing them, go ahead -- neither I nor the droids will stand in your way.'
Of course, it didn’t take me long to realize that, even with the Vampires’ help, we stood no chance against the Vellari without our droids -- especially now, with their military stronger than ever."

That's a castle! Vampires have a lot of place here. The Droid D2 base is with a face remembering a little from Death Star :) Glad to see that the colony is doing quietly its way.
Yup, the Vampires still love their classic architecture regardless of their advanced technology. And the droid base is both safer and stealthier than the Death Star;-)
It does seem that many have vanished lately. Seems to me that generally the quality of the art has slipped too.
you have done a very fine conclusion to this amazing Captain Flynt saga. I will make a final toast to Dorothy and fine job she did throughout your very creative and imaginative story you have put together here for all of us to enjoy together with your awesome images.
You have my apologies for not visiting as often as I would like Max, yet when I do, I always seek out your fine art creations my friend. It seems that many artists have now gone away or are no longer interested in commenting anymore. This site seems to be changing bit by bit everytime I visit. :-)
Yes Johnny, the site began changing at the start of this year, and the fun and excitement we all had back in June to November has mostly vanished. But to be fair, everything always changes -- even mountains and stars -- and no way to prevent it.
That was an excellent ride for me, catching up with your stories :)
Superb read, and superbly illustrated although my vision is a little blurry so maybe next time I don't stay away for so long so as to avoid any eye strain or maybe the strain is simply due to Dorothy...who know :)
Relax ... take it slow ... no need to rush:-) My eyes get blurry and strained too, but recover after some rest or a walk through trees.
Just realized it wasn't catching up with your art that was causing my eye problems...it was all the imported beer and Dorothy :)
LOL.... Interestingly, it turns out that Dorothy has gradually surpassed Captain Flynt as the main character, and Flynt knows it, after some of her mystery has already been revealed. There's more to her than meets the eye.
