Description
After Lucy closed her hatch behind us we walked through fluffy dry snow to an ice cave and kept going, when suddenly my jaw dropped, "What the hell is that?"
"At first glance I thought it was some lost nuclear sub from the 1960's," said Dave, "but I soon realized it was something much stranger. As I poked around it became obvious that the tech in this thing was way beyond anything we even have today. It's either not of this time or not of this Earth."
"Holy snap! Is this where you got your cool inventions from?" I asked.
"Not all. A few good ones I got from another relic in Alaska, but that one's gone -- probably got buried in some earthquake years ago. So far I managed to reverse engineer some of this stuff, the rest is still a mystery."
I hope you don't get sued by some alien patent infringement lawyer," I said with a smirk.
Back in the plane we warmed up with some hot food and drink, then Lucy powered up and we took off to another destination -- Scotland.

It reminds me of that great movie "The Thing" nice render
max-
"The Thing" scared the heck out of me, especially the second remake.

Now there was an old B&W late 50s, then there was the one with the creepy Moog bass line for may be five minutes that give me the creeps two men just sitting there waiting to die, then the third one had a girl in it it's about time they made another one.
Tell you one movie Dog Solders all about Werewolf now that would scare any one

The third 'The Thing' from 2011 was actually a good prequel to the second 1980's version, but the second version still scared me more -- perhaps because it was better executed and directed, while the third version got a bit over-the-top and relied on too many shock-scares.
Not sure if anyone could make a much better remake though -- unless they do a new sequel, like the Thing escaping and tearing through New York City or Washington DC.

Thank you, Pauli :-)

Outstanding work once again! That would be a hell of a find. One has to wonder how many strange things are buried in obscure places out there...
max-
I also wonder how many strange things have already been found that we don't know about, and probably never will.

max-
Hehe. I see you're quite familiar with cold ... snow does often crunch in extreme cold!

yep born in Minnesota and grew up in Chicago. Car locks froze one too many times which caused me to be late for work again which caused me to be fired which led me to move to Florida a month later.

I can't even remember how I survived up north considering my cheap car got buried in snow many times. And I was 7 min. late for work every day but never got fired, probably coz I did the work of 2 people.
