They typically alternate between hostility ("tsun tsun") and warmth ("dere dere"), with their harsh exterior softening over time as they grow closer to someone. In extreme cases, their inability to express emotions can manifest as verbal or even physical abuse, though this is often played for comedic or dramatic effect rather than portrayed as genuinely toxic. The core of the archetype is their inner struggle between pride and genuine care.
