Description
I may have posted this in the past, or one similar. I don't know how many old-timers are still here that would remember Faemike55 (Mike Jessett). He's one of those guys that when his name is mentioned those that know him just smile and say "He's just a great guy!" He was one of my first friends here at Rendo. His art was fun, his humor was delightful, and his comments were always positive and helpful.
Sadly, he hasn't posted the last few years due to health issues, and other situations. And sadly, he will likely not be with us much longer. I got a call from him yesterday. He is at a care facility, and has been diagnosed with cancer of the liver. It's apparently in advanced stages, and he said he didn't know how long he had left.
About the photo... Mike is on the left, and I'm on the right (as viewed). We took a little road trip in 2019, and were able to stop in Washington (state) for a great visit with him. It will remain one of my fondest memories.
I would ask that you keep Mike in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

You've been such a deep supporter of so many here, you always received my work in all its warts and craziness, and you posted such creative and loving work, and your work at home helped and still helps many people. I'm very sorry for your illness, and I send all my wishes for strength, light, peace and love from all places. If hugs could cure, let mine surround you. And thank you Rod for the upload. (I will come back to comment, I promise. I've seen everything, I just needed to clear my head.) If a god is listening, hold and grant infinite strength to your servant and jewel, Mike. That's not a request--it's a command. All blessings to you, Mike, you deserve them all.

Yeah, it was a heartbreaking call, he sounded so weak and in pain. My heart goes out to him. He did a lot of good work that benefited a lot of people.
Hope you're doing OK, buddy - this getting older thing sux at times. I'll shoot you an email soon - I think I have your email here on one of these computers!
Prayers for Mike!
Sorry to hear this sad news. Very difficult to lose people and continue without them. Have to remember the good times you had with them and someday be reunited with them when we pass.

I remember Faemike55 as well. He was one of the first artist to show my work some love when I joined up in '09. I'll be praying for him. A wonderful soul.

Devastating news Rod. Your reassurances about Mike in previous posts made me feel that it would just be a matter of time before Mike was able to function once again. This is grave news and you must be really feeling it for him yourself right now Rod, so I pray not only for Mike but also for your own well-being. What a terrible thing to face and to be too ill to be around your close family must be heartbreaking for all concerned. Stay safe and strong my good friend and please impart my feelings to Mike if you are able. Steve

he always romped around my gallery year after year. When I came back to Rendo after my year long break from husband's passing, I asked about his absence from a few but they didn't know. Please, if you speak to him again, send him a hug from me and tell him I miss him :(

Thank you so much, Rod for sharing this lovely photo, and yes, I miss Mike too. I already suspected that he had problems with his health, he wrote about it occasionally. I'm very sorry that Mike won't heal. Of course I will remember Mike in my prayers, Rod. And if you see Mike, let him know that I think of him, pray for him, and that I missed him.
I remember him very well. He was the first one, who commented on my first Image and spread good vibes. I hope he didn't have to suffer to much in his last days! He was such a precious fella! Great Image of both of you!
