Description
I decided to submit Myira as an entry for a pin-up contest, though I'm not really pushing the more obvious pin-up theme, more trying to think around it by creating more subtle images but also really pushing my photorealism efforts.
Myira is my newest character, she has no real story but I quite like the idea of her just being a country girl, spending her youth growing up on a small farm somewhere and just enjoying being a kid with no real worries or concerns.
I ran about 6 different versions of this with different lighting set ups, but decided to push with an indirect lighting version but one where I have created an almost seamless environment, though I'm still not sure if that rock looks quite right? But it's just a rock right? No, that rock is really bothering me.
Anyway, I hope you like it and let me know your thoughts.

I understand your misgivings about that rock. There is something not quite right about it but, overall, the image is great. :-)
Thank you very much but I'm not sure why that rock is bothering me so much, maybe if it was a deeper shade of grey, rounder or slightly mossy maybe? But it's really bugging me.
I must admit that, when I look real hard, it looks a bit like a screwed up newspaper more than a rock. Perhaps a different texture?
heh, I probably wouldn't have noticed the rock if didn't point it out. It seems a bit flat for some reason, perhaps the texture like Staticon suggested, or maybe even a different angle in the render just to give it more depth/shadow
Beautiful portrait and character work though. Lighting is quite lovely too.
