Regardless of what others will say, brilliant work.

Beautiful, everything. The tree roots are just awesome. Amazing image.

Amazing! Well done, Like u need me to tell u! :)

A very beautiful image. Using modern tools to successfully produce a image with that traditional painting feel, I like it.

This is really beautiful. The tree roots remind me of an old dragons foot, or a few of the dragon tails in childrens books. Nice painting on the animals, those in the background are good too. I like the horse and hunter! Sly ole fox ey! Wonderful work! -Sea Crystal :)

It has a lovely sense of a captured moment about it, as well as being technically stunning. Excellent.

just got one thing to say... HOW DID U DO IT??

Stunning work again Andy...Love your Postwork your abilities far outshine most,me included,Your attention to detail is amazing...

just for lack of better words WOW!!!

I learn so much from just looking and observing your art work. The Wacom Tablet is a must and so is Photoshop 7. Thanks for the lessons and the visual beauty to lead us on and on.

This is very nice.

Everything is excellent, but the twisted tree in the foreground is the best element in the whole scene. Just love it. :o)

This is just breathtaking. Thank you SO much for posting your amazing work here.

wow, this is honestly my favorite peice right now on renderosity. besides the fact that the image is 100% beautiful, you caught the emotions of the dog and the fox perfectly. ive never seen anything like this. excellent work!

This is amazing and breathtaking.

Splendid as expected! ;) I'm just curious if the fox made it. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Your character placement is perfect, like telling a story. The colours are rich and warm, and the detail is perfect. Just another run of the mill hobbit picture then!

Depresingly good!!!! No comment....excellent artwork!!!!

Really beautiful ... great work on trees ... i love it a lot ... like the coloring and lighting ... artistic ...

Outstanding job. Those trees are perfect and the animals were painted. Simply Awesome. Top quality job. Congratulations.

Awsome.. I love it

Two words: Wow! and How?!

Although I find the general image beautiful, I am disappointed by the lack of tension. The fox's tail is upright denoting not fear but interest. It looks more like it's play hide-and-seek rather than hiding from being ripped apart by the hounds. Make no mistake - this is a vicious and terrifying way to die. There is no suggestion of this in the image. Redo the fox so that it is tense, panting and exhausted.

I have to agree with Turin. It sorta comes out as a teddy bears picnic. Nice trees though

Actually I love it, by the title I thought it was a great interpretation of the Fox and the hound the movie. Which really takes me back I was a kid and seen that movie when it was first released back in 76, have never forgot. The fox and the hound were friends. Anyway thats my interpretation of it. As with all hobbit's work it takes me to the places he draws and and it is a good place

This is outstanding excellent. How did you do the trunk?

I'm speachless about the realism!!

Man I'm tellin you, this is beautiful. Between you, Voodoo and Archangel Gabriel and a few others...well it makes this place worth comin to. Excellent work.

This is a beautiful image, but I have to agree with Turin, this is not a frightened fox, it looks more like they are playing tag, which would be nice, but not realistic..more like two dogs playing..foxhunting is brutal and in many places in this country its been abolished..a cruel and needless act of animal abuse.

Fantastic! I love your painting, and this is no exception! Excellent lightning, color and scene. Keep up the good work.
