A scorched-earth policy is a military strategy of destroying everything that allows an enemy military force to be able to fight a war, including the deprivation and destruction of water, food, humans, animals, plants and any kind of tools and infrastructure. This is Russia's policy; The civilized world calls it war crimes and crimes against humanity. Russia is the first in history to use an ICBM over a live city.

Russia destroyed entire cities and infrastructure, planted millions of land mines that will take generations to clear, created over 8 million refugees (and missing children), creating a refugee crisis in Europe that hasn't been seen since WWII, as well as a world-wide food shortage. Russia continues to hit critical civilian infrastructure during the onset of winter, putting millions out in the cold, not to mention, over a million casualties (both sides.) Why people like it compare it to Vietnam, is beyond me.
