the face has a bit of anime in it, in the graphic lines and divisions of shade...the whole piece is graphic and cartoony (combined) and feels very natural as both. I love the pose, looking over her shoulder as if someone called her from afar...she's half interested, and half guarded...and the gown is striking especially against that study wall...The wall looks right out of an old university study, with the crests in the window and books to the side. A fascinating combination of elements, with a mysterious and quietly alluring model taken by surprise. Very well done.
