Description
Bad spirits they exist.
Bad Spirits they exist.
Dark en sinister
the dangerous whisper
Smog is the place
but not to be in.
Nothing to win
cold against the skin
gloomy all in
penetrant the smell
pervasive in hell.
Totally lost
alone feeling frost
cold all bones
creepy all sounds
no way I see
dark holes around me.
Bad spirits they exist!
During Halloween there is no limit.
Endlessly is their list.
Hi dear friends,
This is another entry I made for the Halloween challenge.
The original is an old painting in oil, of which I took a picture.
Editing this in my old PSP version, and I used starrai wit a selfmade filter.
This poem I made a long time ago.
Dear friends, thank you very much for your visit, as for your effort to write any comment.
btw, I think I was lit by the Halloween virus, it's just a new escape route as a distraction of everything I don't know a solution for.
I wish you for everything that is difficult to live with, whatever this may be, that you are given solutions.
Love Jacomina.

Wow! Very original Halloween composition.
Thank you very much!
Very creative horror picture. But I'm still taken by the bats eating up the red moon.
Poor you, :). Thank you so much!
Vote!!! ;)
Lol, thank you very much, Chris.
Very cool !
Thank you so much!
Mies opnieuw een bijzonder creatief werk! Is dit je nieuwe stijl ?
Very powerful words and images!
Thank you so much! :)
Cool is deze prent en het gedicht past er perfect bij.
Wonderful
I love what you did with your oil painting. The oil painting looks like it has several creatures flying in the night, or several creatures swimming under the sea. The creatures have such vivid colors, while the area around them has deep dark blues and blacks. Great contrasts. And each "creature" makes waves around it. Wonderful.
(Actually, your oil painting looks a little like fabric! It has a very fabric-like surface. That probably comes from the canvas showing through the paint...)
The Halloween version is deep and macabre. I love how you turned the "creatures" in your oil painting into halloween images. Ie: 3 pumpkins---with fierce faces---and one red creature in the sky. The faces are filled with menace and halloween terror. In the pumpkin on the lower left, it looks like you have a human in its mouth! And the pumpkin in the lower right is on fire. I hope viewers look at the lower portions of your image: It has faces and other living creatures---lots of bats in this image too. It reminds me of Michelangelo's "Hell" (in the Sistine Chapel). This has an apocalyptic feeling...
The mansions are wonderfully creepy, with lots of turrets and towers and crosses and weathervanes (windvaans?). And, you know what? The swirls in the sky remind me of your countryman, Vincent Van Gogh. It's a perfect image for late Halloween night. It's really vital and powerful. And the oranges and blues make great contrasts.
Your poem captures the feeling of being in the middle of a dark hell...a dark and sinister place, with smog, cold, deep dark holes, etc. With "alone feeling frost/ cold all bones," we are walking through a freezing landscape, and we shiver in our bones. Or maybe you mean that bones are all around you...a kind of "valley of dry bones," of the remains of passed souls...either way, it's a finely written late fall image.
Also, you use a lot of sound rhyme. For example:
sinister/whisper win/skin smell/hell
the "p"s of "penetrant" and "pervasive"
lost/frost bones/sounds (that's close rhyme, not exact, but it's a common form of rhyme nevertheless)
the "c"s in "col" and "creepy"...
and so on...
This is a "packed" upload (there is a lot in it). And, having seen it, I'm glad Halloween is over, lol...I wouldn't want to be out in a Halloween like this!
great work, Jacomina: a very rich upload! (And you said you were lit by the Halloween virus. I hope you didn't mean an actual medical virus---I hope you didn't get ill. I thought you meant it metaphorically...if you did have a physical virus, I hope you're a lot better now!)
PS---thank you again for your beautiful comment, I appreciated it greatly, as I did your poem. Hartelijk dank!
