"Incoming transmission." The communications officer suddenly called out after a two hour wait. "Audio only."
"Odd." The Captain stated as he sat up straight. "On speaker then."
"USS-Farragut." Came the voice crisply over the speakers. "Please transmit verifying operational orders at this time."
"Transmit response orders."
Again, they waited for several moments.
"Captain Mitchell." The voice was now more directed. "By order of Fleet command Nagora; The starfleet vessel, USS-Farragut is to remain on station with our sister ship and await further orders. You are to transport aboard this vessel for immediate departure to another location for an important briefing."
"Well." Captain Mitchell slowly rose from his chair. "As per operational orders. Standby." He then cut the signal. "Mr. Nelson." He glanced back at the science officer. "You have the conn."
