Description
It’s time for an update to let all my friends here know what’s going on – and why the TNA story is having so many delays.
Both Jim – my collaborator – and I have been dealing with some health issues. Jim is currently having some vision issues that will hopefully be fixed soon. He is working on his Bunni character, and her part in the next page (47). Take care, Jim, and don’t rush the eyes, bro!
For myself, I’m still dealing with depression, although the good days are starting to outnumber the bad ones. I saw my Nurse Practitioner on the 6th, and we had a really good conversation about everything going on. They took a blood sample specifically for checking vitamin levels, and I just got the results yesterday. That was fast!
Anyway, most of the levels were normal, but the “D” and the B-12 were both low. Jo has the same problem and is taking medication and B-12 shots. Looks like I might be joining her! Quite the anniversary gift (our 53rd was the 5th)!
Then there’s this…. For the past several months, I’ve had an annoying pain around and behind my left ear. It’s been kind of off and on, but in the last month it’s become more intense, and seems to be spreading forward along the left side of my head.
I have an appointment to have x-rays of the spinal / cervical area. Hopefully they can find what the hell is going on back there – and what to do about it.
I did some research online by doing a search for pain in those areas, and what I’m dealing with sounds a lot like a condition called occipital neuralgia. You can read more about it at:
https://www.spine-health.com/blog/occipital-neuralgia-what-it-and-how-treat-it
I hope this is what it is, or something like a pinched occipital nerve. I sure as hell don’t need anything that starts with a “C.”
And of course, there’s all the other crap I’m trying to wade through with getting the stuff taken care of with this house so we can get the hell out of here.
To close, I am working on the TNA story when and as much as I can. Once I get Jim’s renders, I’ll have it done and posted pretty quickly. So for my fans of the story, THANK YOU for hanging in there, your patience, and for all your awesome support! I couldn’t do it without you!
Best,

Great presentation. Thanks for the update; I'll keep you in my prayers.
It's nice to hear from you Rod, take your time in planning your next move...I hope life treats you well my friend! :-)
very nice image! Hopefully, the meds will help you!
Such a brilliant pic, great work! As for the news itself, No.1 as always is take care of yourself an Jo. Those health issues start to add up at a certain age; I'm also in the same boat re. cervical induced neuralgia (in my case left arm and hand), as well as chroninc vit D deficienccy, on top of recovering from 7 weeks of radiotherapy... all resolveable so long as you're able to take the time and devote some necessary/deserved attention to self (one reason I've not been on so much these last 6 months).... So, beaming you both good vibes and best wishes!
Extraordinary image,excellent work RodS👍🙋♂️
Great "Breaking News" image !!! Hoping everything works out on the "plus" side !!!
So sorry to hear about everything. Keep strong RodS! You can do it.
I'm glad you're feeling better. D is always a problem for me also, as I don't go outside as much as I should.
Fabulous work! I'm praying for you, my friend.
Good to hear you're getting better. And congratulations to your anniversary!
Rod, the best option is always self care. Those who matter will still be waiting very anxiously and happily for the next TNA, but will be happier still that you are doing well. Hopefully soon you and Jo can move out and into a more peaceful environment. :)
Marvellous artwork! Wishing you the best.
Excellent image I like the newsroom view and the two lovely anchors, terrific!
Hope that things will get better for you and your health. Health of course is one of the most important things in life.
Good news on the pain! Doc Goggle usually diagnosis fatal diseases. Stub your toe? you'll be dead in 6 weeks max due to Lower Philangese stubbius. 2% survival rate amoung your demographic.
the Girls are always worth the wait!
Hang in there! Great scene!
