Description
The two figures, girl and mechanical entered the factory floor together.
"My brother will be most surprised to meet you, Buster!" Millie told the clank. "I never expected to win that last hand. Now, I'm well-heeled for the moment and I have a big clank as a body guard. Who says gambling never pays?" The clank made a noise that might have been agreement. "I just wish you had language, Buster!" The big clank shrugged.
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 13.3.686 using the Superfly Cycles X rendering engine. Some postwork was accomplished with Superfly and a tad more in Photoshop. Millie is based on La Femme 2 with modifications by Tempesta3D. The big clank is by Shawnalaroc. The factory floor is by Blue Tree Studio.
The character of Mildred Silversmith is my invention; she dropped out of university to seek adventure and fortune. It is typical of her to have just won a big mechanical in a card game. It is possible she cheated...

For steampunk bots, as you know i use "Crunk" by TheAntFarm for the Skytown series - its compatible with both DAZ and Poser and currently on a 80% discount if you're intrested in adding to the menagerie...

That clank is a beast and the gal's outfit is pure SP.
There's quite a few bots and droids on DAZ and in here, but so many focus on a Star Wars angle, which while far from a curse, isn't really SP. There's a bvenerable SP walkng thingie picked up awhile ago and started a scene for ya but there's always something keeping me from getting the good ones done.
Some of Tempesta's most unique toons are for LF and LF2. Aarrgggh...
Wonder how long a steam bot can run on a single allottment of fuel. If he has micro-superheater boilers firing high quality oil he'll burn a lot, but the fuel won't take up much space. Boiler t4chnology exploded in the first decades of the last century; as originally designed, the battlecruisers Lexington and Saratoga would have required seven smokestacks....when laid down they would have had two. When completed they were aircraft catrriers with a single big one.
Imagine what a finely honed and dedicated SP world could do. .

Heh. Well Steampunk gets a lot more out of steam than the steam engines of our time continuum. I've often thought there must be subtle differences in physics that make steam so much more convenient there. =)
There's some of the DAZ Studio based characters by Tempesta that I'd really love to have so I guess we share a frustration that such a wonderful artist divides her time between two platforms and doesn't often duplicate her work. >.<
I have dozens of characters and story ideas that I haven't fully developed or shared. Reckless Mildred "Millie" Silversmith and her much more cautious twin brother is but one example. =P

I really love this little masterpiece dear Molly, I hope you are fine?!
She's cute, seductive and a gambler. She has no idea what he says or thinks apparently and I'd be a little concerned that he's looking at her like a box of caramel corn that he wants to pop open and taste the salty sweetness. Then again he has no mouth and no "appendage" so she's probably safe ... probably. Of your characters so far she's my favorite.

As for Milly, I am currently working on her brother (the responsible one of the pair) and am planning on at least one more picture with her. I have a story in mind that I might get to as well. I have so many irons in the fire and such a short attention span... >.<
