Two exhausted forms lay on the makeshift bed on the cave floor. The pup had suffered a major loss and now lay twitching in an uneasy sleep. Avarris had already had a long day, only to then be part of a violent fight, upon which she had to bury a couple of large canine using a rock for a shovel. Her mind was heavy with thoughts as she drifted off to sleep. With the klingon tricorder set for security scanning, and her energy pistol close at hand, she found herself worrying about their food supplies. She knew that the pup would eventually have to eat. She had accepted him in her promise.
