Description

Avarris rose slowly to her feet. She knew what now had to be done, but would wait for a while. She would allow time for a child to mourn. She surveyed the little valley, with the two large canines and several large insects that had fought a battle that had carried a far greater price than she would ever know. The lone pup was the sole survivor of a war that had been waged for generations. Two species on this little planet had now passed into extinction.
