Description
She was up and moving by early light. The night had been restless; the sounds of strange creatures and a soft howling wind had kept her uneasy.
Now walking across the sun baked ground, she went over the survival instructions she had been given.
The ground was hard pack and littered the stones, making her progress slower than the day before, and the sun beaming down seemed even hotter. She finally reached the peak of the hill and paused.
"Really?" Her voice dropped with sarcasm.
