Ute, congratulations on this excellent work of art.
these all have a twilight light, and they feel like the country at sundown---even though I see some urban detail in the background.
The children sit on a roof, and I love the detail on the roof tiles (esp in the 7th image), and you have terrific twilight light in these. And the birds are wonderful companions to the variations you get on the child. (The wooden posts make these feel very country-ish.)
In some of them you have buildings much closer. In one, the bird becomes a beautiful black owl. In the 6th image (from the left) you have a beautiful church steeple which turns into a beautiful spindly tree, winding its way to heaven...And in the last one, we wind up on the ground, with fall leaves and a shovel, etc, in a kind of dream forest. (The shovel, for instance, is transparent. That's why it feels like a dream.) Another very sweet theme and variations, with a strong nostalgic twilight feeling. And the child seems happy to be on the ground once more...(I would be...)
