Hello dear friends,
Here are 2 photos that correspond to a poem I wrote about the landscape around me.
In Dutch:
Het landschap waarin ik woon.
Weilanden een heuvel
insecten gekeuvel
afgetekend het vlas
door zonlicht zacht verrast.
Het aangenaam toeven
de boerenhoeven
stralen die dralen
spinnenweb met kralen
het zetten van de toon.
Het landschap waarin ik woon.

Meadows and a hill
insects' chatter still
flax outlined with grace
by gentle sunlight's embrace.
A pleasant abode
the farmsteads bestowed
beams slowly unfurl
spiderwebs with pearl
setting the tone.
The landscape where I own.
I hope the English translation is a bit 'normal'. ;-)

A wonderful peaceful landscape. I really like the poem as well, I can't say how well it compares to the original Dutch, but it reads well in English.

That is a beautiful landscape you leave in. The English translation of the poem is also nice, I'd love to be able to read the original Dutch but alas I don't have those language skills!
