Both images work well and are well composed. I'm on the fence about using the lens flare; it's OK, I guess, but it doesn't really add to the picture IMHO. =) The model you are using is so cute, you could have pulled in even closer with your camera and I would not have complained. Nice work overall, thanks for sharing!

These are both wonderful images! She's a doll, and the light on her is gorgeous.
I'm kinda in the same space as Molly with the flare. I find myself doing the same thing a lot of times.. I'm a devoted "detail freak" - I'll sometimes spend hours on every little detail, and forget about what the image is really all about. I like to make things look 'lived-in / lifelike' and have to remind myself of the old "K.I.S.S." principal (Keep It Simple, Stupid!). Like almost every day... So you're not alone!
I know right, I should hire an editor as a second opinion as I get too envoled in the creation as yourself.
