The Orange-spotted Ladybird is a very common species in southern and western parts of Australia, including Tasmania. It is also found in New Guinea, New Caledonia, Java, Sumba, and the Kai Islands. A significant predator of aphids and other hemipteran plant parasites. I have it pictured here with another Australian Ladybird, the Steelblue (very small and has the name hints, steel blue in color) and the Australian Bustard. The setting is in the Australian UltraScenery.
