the color combinations are rich and intimate...by 'intimate', I mean they feel private, enclosed, special...something you'd share with the people you love. Also, the light and shadow is like that of an 18th or 19th C painting. It's a genuine still life. Very sweetly done (no pun intended since this is overflowing with fruit!).
