This little fella was taking a nap on the building at work the other day.

It's hard to believe that a creature as ugly and seemingly ferocious as a bat is endangered. But considering that climate scientists predict that we will cross the 1.5° threshold in just a few more years, perhaps I should not be so surprised. We're endangered too.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and, in my eyes, this is a most beautiful creature. I love bats and it is such a shame that they are so universally feared and shunned.

Thank you. I took a couple different shots of it nappin up there. The other one I posted has a good shot of it's face.
These particular lil guys are not overly ferocious, they are insect eaters and are rather tiny themselves as well. I'm seeing more and more bat-boxes up here these days, people are making places for them to sleep during the daytime. So, maybe not so feared as they used to be.
