As midnight approaches, Grace, having departed from the farmhouse that serves as the ladies' dorm on the Van Humbeek estate enters the private quarters of Professor Van Humbeek in the manor. She finds the professor still awake pondering some antique documents. Tentatively the ghost approaches her living friend. "Elizabeth? Can we talk? It's about the girl you interviewed this afternoon." Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered with Poser 13.0.296 and tweaked in Photoshop after some initial postwork in the Superfly Cycles X rendering engine. Elizabeth and Grace the ghost are both based upon the La Femme mesh included with Poser. The Professor's private quarters are very old material from DAZ that I did not tweak at all and it rendered pretty well. There's lots of bits and bobs from other places; if there is something you are particularly interested in I can point you to the vendor or freebie site where I found it (maybe... >.<). All the lighting in the picture is with emissive material. I find the "lights" materials in Vince Bagna's indispensable material bundle really helpful when setting up emissive lighting. Hard to believe I'm still telling this story and this picture is marking the end of the first day of Vladlena's new life as a Russian expatriot in the good ol' U.S. of A. If you are new to the story and interested in it, find it's entirety with the pictures numbered in the order of the story in my gallery album entitled The Odyssey of Vladlena B. There's more on the relationship between Professor Van Humbeek and Grace Geist here: Professor Van Humbeek's paranormal research. #VladlenaB

Heh. Scares the 'yell' out of you, eh? I see what you did there! XD Thanks for the comment and for giving me a smile, my dear. I always enjoy hearing from you! <3

Very nice and clean scene. I have this scene as well so I know how old it is. The lighting is well done as always, nice job.

Thanks, I really enjoy using emissive materials to light a scene; so natural! =) The amazing thing about this old material is that the only bits I tweaked were the fire and the bulbs in the chandeliers to make them part of the lighting scheme. I know materials designed specifically for Superfly Cycles X would look even better but I thought this came out looking rather well! XD

Inquiring minds are curious about this ghost's history.

Of course, there's plenty about Grace in the story of Vladlena Bubnoff which begins here: Airport Meeting and also a bit of how Grace came to be a ghost found here: Grace's Story: Outside Okkulte House . It's not surprising you'd lose track of all that as I don't know how long you've been following this and I've been messing with these characters for quite a long time now. =)

Thanks for the encouragement and I hope inquiring minds will be satisfied! <3
