As Pixie and Lena enjoyed a brief celebration at the Farmhouse, a meeting was taking place in an office of the Federal building in downtown River Heights. Edward Cumming of the HSA laughed as he watched Tommy's work. "This is why you're my favorite contractor, Tommy! It looks to me like you were able to track her immediately." "I-it's not so Ee-ee-easy as I m-made it look," Tommy replied. Although his hands danced over the keys, he had a pronounced stutter when he spoke. "It h-helped a lot that you g-gave me an IP ad-ad-adress to st-start with." "This print out summary is great, Tommy," Eliza Braun, a CIA agent, said. "It looks like you were able to follow way more than half of what she was up to." "Sh-she's very g-g-good. N-not perf-perfect, though. I've been a f-fanboy of Headcleaner for a l-long t-t-t-time." "And you've set some 'bots' to watch this IP address?" Eliza asked. "Yep!" Tommy replied. "And you'll give us a summary every day and more often as needed?" She prompted. "Y-yes, ma'am!" Tommy responded. Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 13.0.287 using the Superfly Cycles X rendering engine with some postwork in Photoshop. The setting is by Santuzi78. The male agent, Edward Cumming, and the hacker, Tommy Dalton, are based on M4. The female agent, Eliza Braun, is based on V4. A word about Poser 13. Unlike in Poser 12 where the Cycles 2 based Superfly rendering engine failed to render most of the textures in the setting as they were Firefly materials, in Poser 13 the Cycles X rendering engine did fine with them. None of the materials were modified except the window glass and all the light bulbs and fixtures. The light bulbs and fixtures were all made emissive. There is one very dim infinite light (15%) shining through the window. The rest of the lighting is by the emissive material in the lamps and ceiling fixtures. The rendering was very fast; it seemed faster than P12 but I haven't taken the time to run any real tests. More to follow as I gain more experience with this Poser update. #VladlenaB

It is a very clear and concise render! I'm impressed! I only noticed tonight that there is a Poser 13 out now! Boy have I fallen behind the times! Poor 'Head Cleaner'! I hope she manages to find a way to cover herself and come out smelling like a rose for future episodes! I'm rooting for her bigly!

Upgrading to Poser 13 is pretty affordable and the rendering engine seems better and I was pretty happy with P12's version of Superfly Cycles. I'll keep mentioning my experience with P13 as I plan to use it as much as I can. The main thing is all the old legacy content still works just fine (so far >.< ).

The Feds watching "Headcleaner" is concerning but consider this: They are the good guys. You may remember that there was a hint of how it will be from the bad guys here: Anzhela Kropuskov ponders

Might be someone else watching from the shadows as well.... (wink)...

P-13 is sounding better and better.. I'm using P-12 on this machine (won it in a contest here sometime ago), P-11 on a laptop, and PP2014 on another laptop and desktop. Yes, I'm nuts... 😆

Great work on your story, Molly! I need to get off my butt and work on mine!

Thanks, Rod. From what I gather you have plenty going on in your life and are entitled to be a bit nuts. XD I am not sure about my P12 Python scripts which I used a lot; haven't tried to reinstall those yet. =/ There's no doubt in my mind that the rendering engine (Superfly Cycles X; Firefly is unchanged) is greatly improved and backward compatibility is as it always has been. =)

Thank you, my dear! I try to avoid blank expressions and I'm delighted you enjoyed the subtle expression I put on her face. =)

Merci pour votre très gentil commentaire. Bien que ce ne soient pas les personnages principaux de l'histoire j'ai mis du temps à les développer et je suis ravi qu'ils vous plaisent. =)

There we are - she is spying out by that stutterer Tom. It lets me smile!

=) These are the good guys and, yes, I meant for Tommy's problem with stuttering to be a bit of comic relief; he's a brilliant hacker but not very conventional. I have yet to reveal the bad guys, but I suggested them in a previous picture.

The saga characters and faces.

Good to hear that Poser 13 plays nice with textures and legacy assets. nothing worse than an upgrade that wrecks tried and true favorites. DAZ's new approach to geo shells is one such example.

Yes, I introduced the feds a while back after Lena's interview and I thought we should check in on them. =)

As for backward compatibility and DAZ Studio, DAZ has a different marketing strategy: they don't charge up front for the rendering program but they need you to buy their content. On the whole, it would seem more successful than the strategy for Poser but it will cause DAZ to feel much less concern about "breaking" compatibility with old content. =\
