Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.1029 and tweaked a bit in Photoshop. Jake is based on the venerable M4 mesh with modifications by Tempesta3d. He has a beard from a hair set by Ali and hair by Prae. His clothing is the Akki Warrior suit by Simon3D. The setting is by Afrodite-Ohki. Lighting is by Blackhearted.
Jake is mostly a character test. I have a female partner set up for him as well that I might post for comment as well. I see him as a rogue in some space opera style setting in a galaxy far away in the distant future.

I think of him as one of those morally ambiguous heroes who might be robbing the rich (robbery is morally wrong) but giving to the poor (morally acceptable) like Robin Hood. =) Thanks for the encouragement, the content from Tempesta3D is always a good place to start for a project like this! <3

I used the same lighting and background set up on Jake and his partner since it was just a character test to see if they looked good and had a bit of the scoundrel about them to the eye of my friends here. =) Now... a more serious test by putting them in a picture together to get a sense if they have a feeling of chemistry! ;-)

I like that you're doing character portraits - adds a little humanity to the 'toons. I start everything with portraits and sometimes run to lazy and pose them in various states of exposure rather than setting up the scenes for which they were created.
You have more discipline Mollz:)

Thanks! It's sometimes a good break from working on more elaborate scenes and stories and just try to make a nice portrait with expression and/or pose that speaks to personality. =)
