Description
Sonja doffed the mechanical arms and leg braces stowing them in the rear seat of seat of the carriage. Flossie, the ready dummy clank used to deceive the air pirates had started the water heater and belching sparks and smoke from its stacks brought up a head of steam for the carriage. Sonja climbed up beside the clank in the front seat.
"Be a couple o' 'ours 'til teh sun rises, Flossie. I reckon I needs be sleep a bit and then we needs speak wi' teh clanks of teh Darkstar staff. I'm thinkin' that Fat Bob and Mr. Butler knows plenty regardin' this Baron Von Reanimeister scoundrel. We needs a plan o' action, Flossie! First, though, some shut eye. Take us home."
The mute clank nodded and turned the steam carriage toward the Darkstar Mechanical Servant Manufactory where Sonja Steelsinger had quarters.
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.1029 rendered with Superfly/Cycles 2 and tweaked a bit in Photoshop. Attempting a dark, foggy night continues to be challenging to me, to say the least; I'm glad this will be the last one for awhile. 😜 Sonja Steelsinger is based upon La Femme with modifications by Afrodite-Ohki. The Ready Dummy is by Cybertenko. The Steam Carriage is by ADH3D. The overall scene is by BlueTreeStudio.

Cool looking foggy atmosphere.
Thanks! It's a lot of work and very long rendering times; I'm glad the story is going to be moving to better lighting with the next picture! =)
Molly
I'd say you pretty much nailed the foggy atmosphere, Molly. It's not all that easy to do effectively, but you did it here. Great story and a great render!
Thanks, Rod. I've struggled with night and fog and am very glad to move to better lit scenes for this story starting with the next picture! XD
Molly
Nice night scene on the waterfrint.
Thanks, Mazzam. It's a great piece of content and moving my characters around in it is like getting entirely different scenes for them. =D
Molly
a great looking buggy. nice night time fog and misty atmosphere.
Thanks, Barb. That's a pretty old piece of content that I've been using in this story and I have to agree that it looks great! =) Sadly, the creator, ADH3D is no longer with us.
Molly
Nice composition along with your knack for mixing great assets. The clank's leggings sorta remind me of the pirates'.....
Thanks, JD. The leggings should remind you of the pirate's togs since Sonja stripped one of the pirates and dressed Flossie to fool the other pirate. XD In the last picture, the pirates were ticked that Sonja and Flossie were making off with the clothing; Sonja told them they were leaving a perfectly serviceable cloak (only had one knife hole in it XD).
I'm not quite sure if I'll go with it but one possible branch of the story had Sonja using the pirate's clothing as a disguise. I've been doing some rewrites based on my available assets and what I'd have to cook up or acquire to tell the story I have in mind. We'll see. =)
Molly
Somehow i missed the whole bit with the pirates stealing the clothing despite always reading carefully....certainly explains it :)
Ack! Sonja stole the clothing from the pirates! XD Let's move on.... XP
Molly
That's what I meant :)
=) OK!
Mindblowing.
Thank you, Marius!
Molly
