Superb render.
The train is a Coronation Class locomotive built in September 1938 by the London Midland and Scottish Railway Crewe Works. It was in use until February 1964 and is now in preservation.
Many many thanks for an update on this beautiful old locomotive, Staticon! I'm glad to hear that it is still being preserved and appreciated! Much appreciation from me to you for your kindness in commenting and sharing!
Very cool scene, great looking train, just like car's thay had style and elegance,
Yes, those elegant designs with their timeless grace and style! How could anyone not love the look of them! Thanks much for the observation and comment, Darkglass! Very much appreciated!
Cool train
I was smitten by this train when I saw it on Train Simulator and had to have it! I don't play with that program enough. Will have to run a few more scenarios in the near future, I'm thinking! Many thanks and much appreciation for your viewings and comments!
Like so many things - a memory of the past that shouldn't be allowed to fade/
Many thanks for the comment, jdwtrxk! Yes, we must remember the glories of our past! So much beauty should not be hidden away or allowed to rust to pieces! Very much appreciate your support!
Nice scene! Like the smoke!

Thank you so very much for the comment, madame! I greatly appreciate your kindness in writing one!
Wish I could be riding on that train. Fabulous job!
Thanks for the comment, GT! I greatly appreciate it! I'd love to ride on that train as well!
Slightly empty but still pleasant-looking countryside scene. Shouldn't the smoke from the train be tracing backwards rather than moving up vertically if the train is moving? :)
Ahhh yes, my friend! If it were moving! Now there is the rub! When I came upon this scene and pulled out my mighty graflex 35, the train had just stopped to catch it's breath so I quickly snapped the pick and 'the rest is history' so they say! LOL! Thanks again for the comment! You really keep me on my toes my friend! I love it!
Steam power romantic composition, outstanding elegance, brilliant render.
Magnificent Masterpiece of Finest Arts. I love it!
I can smell the steam and coal dust it looks so real Bill! Glorious time travel in a largely forsaken area.
I would love to see one in person. superb render
Impressive red locomotive. There is a locomotive in South Africa that is The South African Railways Class 26 4-8-4 of 1981, popularly known as the Red Devil. Any relation? lol Fabulous image!
cool streamline loco
I remember steam engine from when I was a little girl. It was rare to see a streamlined like this one around Cleveland where I grew up. Mostly the more utilitarian, clunky locomotives which have their own mechanical charm. =)
Thanks for sharing!
Molly
Very good work !
