He came out of the north; black-haired, sullen-eyed, axe in hand. A slayer. A barbarian. A warrior who would tread the jeweled, decadent thrones of the south under his heavy feet.

Very well-composed scene. Really like the sky and vegetation. The hero does look a bit like he's past his prime, though... which is not to say that he doesn't look dangerous!
