... My version...
We had an invite out to dinner tonight by a long-time, childhood buddy. After (a fantastic) dinner we went up to the upper level of the parking lot and I managed to get a few decent shots. If you've never been to Kansas City, one of the most famous (and expensive) districts is the Country Club Plaza. Every year they put up thousands of Christmas lights, and leave them on display until January 1.
I shot this with my Ipod - hand held. And no, I didn't do the swirly lights thing. I prefer this way.
I hope to have everything done here by the first of the year, then I'll get the TNA story rolling again - if anyone is interested. So many new folks here, and so many long-timers leaving. Sad. It is what it is. We'll just see how it goes.

Woah, Rod! Uh! City lights look like that?? I always thought, they look swirly… (lol) I'm glad, they did not shut down all the christmas lights in europe this year because of the possible energy black outs, they fear

Great image! Sharp contours despite of the night view. Must be impressive to see it by yourself. And I confirm you have still a steady hand for such night shots! ... I still wonder where you guys always get the emojis from ...
If you're on a Windows machine, there's a little 'windows' key on the left, in between the "Alt" and "Fn" keys. Press that key, and at the same time, tap the period (.) key, and it should open a dialog window with all kinds of emojies. just double-click the one you want. Hope that helps!

wow, they really know how to decorate this neighborhood with lights! I gotta wonder who gets out there and puts those things up! (Not me, sir!) A vvid night shot, and a lot of light for an ipod! It looks like this area goes on for several blocks, given the lights in your shot. A very sweet shot of your local massive city. Take your time with your projects here, it's great to see you here, but everyone knows how busy you've been. I hope you and Jo have a blessed New Year, and a much, much better 2023.
