Description
The Puerto Rican Amazon Parrot was originally found throughout forests on Puerto Rico ranging from moist montane forest down to littoral scrub forest and mangroves. It is now confined to former, at 200–600 m, consisting of Tabonuco forests (once very important for feeding and breeding but decimated by logging), Palo Colorado zones (important for nesting), Sierra Palm forests, (whose fruiting coincides with breeding), and dwarf forests (used occasionally for food).
This parrot is critically endangerment with less than 500 birds left in existence (approximately 100 in the wild and 400 in captive breeding programs)/\. The 100 number may be significantly less after the hurricanes this year.

It's interesting that you mention the hurricane. When disasters like hurricanes, huge fires or flooding are more and more frequent, most of the time people forget to mention the wild life destroyed!
It looks very natural in his natural environment.
