Description
This scene represents one of several memories I have of the movie "The Lovely Bones."
In most of the film, Susie exists in the In-Between World, which is a surreal space regarded as a pre-heaven, a whimsical purgatory for people who aren't ready to accept their deaths yet. The ships in the bottles represent a special time between Susie and her father, in which she was desperately needed and loved.
