Description
Among the tumultuous events of this summer, the passing of the inimitable Joey deFrancesco went unnoticed by most. I remember seeing him in the great John McLaughlin trio of the mid 90s and being completely beguiled by their beautiful rendition of John Coltrane's "Naima" (which in Arabic means Tranquil / Gentle/ Tender)... so, taking that theme, this is my tribute to the great man and his music.
