Description
I was very happy with the result of this shot what I took in our garden, because this butterfly really never sits still.
This is a hummingbird butterfly (Macroglossum Stellatarum) on our puncture nose (Lychnis Coronaria). The butterfly is constantly moving and never sits still on a flower.
With quickly waving wings - 70 to 80 times per second - the butterfly keeps itself silent with his body, just like the hummingbird, his long roll tongue (28 mm long) is far in a flower, after which it quickly gets away again Go to the next flower.
The tongue of the butterfly has been rolled out as long as his body. Especially when he is looking for food, the parable between the hummingbird butterfly and the Hummingbird big.
Thank you very much for your look, dear friends.
