Description
Just after 9:00PM this evening, only a few hours after being transferred to Hospice, my Brother-In-Law, William H. (Bill) Traskowsky passed into the next realm - whatever it may be. His suffering is at an end.
I don't know what the so-called "afterlife" holds, but it has to be better than the diabetic hell he's had to endure for several years, and especially the last couple of months. Dialysis for years, amputations, and finally the broken hip, and 3 surgeries. He's suffered enough. He was gracious, loving, and the true definition of a man to the very end. He will be missed deeply by all of us. Farewell, Brother.
Jo is holding up as well as can be expected.
I want to say "Thank You" for all the love and compassion, and support on my last upload, and through this difficult time for my family. I'll be gone for a little while, but I will be back in the next couple of weeks or so.

OMG! i'm so very sorry to hear this Rod. just after reading and seeing your other post. i can only imagine what you and dear jo are going through. take lots of time to heal my friend. let me know if you need anything if i can.

Oh, dear Rod, I'm so sorry to hear of your brother's-in-law passing. My verdict on an after life is still out, but one can be consoled by knowing that Bill no longer suffers. A truly magnificent photo for his memorial.

I didn't realize how deep Bill's travails were...I'm so sorry, Rod. I'm very, very sorry that he passed, but from what you wrote prior, he touched real grace and love in the end. He sounded like a deep and loving man. My greatest sympathies to you and Jo---she lost a brother (I understand that)---and to his family and all loved ones. May you radiate his light as a testament and blessing, and I hope the stars will shine brighter because they now have his huge heart among them---from what you say, they've much to learn from him. Much comfort to you and Jo, and much blessing as well...

my condolences Rod. I spoke to the former Marine that ordered to be exposed to a nuclear bomb blast(early 60's on Christmas Island in the Pacific) along with many other Marines yesterday. he told me that as of last Thursday, he is no longer in hospice
