Navarre spun around in a circle, searching the deck for any sign of Rashya; finally looking up. He shook his head, then looked back up. "What are you doing up there, Blue?" "My job." She beamed with confident pride. "The matter antimatter flow was out of balance by point zero zero three five." She leaned towards the railing. "That would of have caused micro fissures in the linings. And that would cause....." "I know!" Navarre yelled back, cutting her off. He drew a deep breath and lowered his voice. "That's great, Blue. Good job." He felt a bit annoyed, mainly at himself for not trusting her work for a moment, and for not catching the imbalance himself. "Thanks." She smiled. "Have you looked over the rest of my upgrade proposals?" "Soon as I get a chance." Navarre chuckled. "Did you get a cost assessment?" "Yes." She called back as she turned and bound towards the stairs. "I have already sent them to your data padd." "I'll start on them tonight." He watched her move along the second deck to the next stairs and bound down to the main floor. Within moments she was standing proudly before him with that large smile upon her face as she stared up at him. "Just give me a few days to process everything and get us through this contract. "Okay." She smiled as she stepped to the side and pointed to the robot. "I am also putting together and engineering aid. It can monitor all systems while we are out. It won't make adjustments without direct authorization; though it will have the basic knowledge and abilities." "So," Navarre glanced over his shoulder at the odd robot. "Your engineers first mate then?" "Hmmm. I suppose so." She grinned. "We are a little short handed on this bucket." "We'll have to work on that one later." He patted her on top of the head as he stepped past her and headed for the doors. "Goodnight, Chief." "Chief?" She glanced after him curiously, then her broad smile returned. "Chief Engineer." "Carry on." Navarre yawned as he stepped through the doors. He felt some of the days stress slip from him. He no longer had to concern himself much about his little engineer, unless she came up with additional upgrade ideas.
