...and I get to end on an even more creative vision. I love how you imagine things...This well---with a dark cat sneaking around the edge---dives way, way down into an underground cavern, where people seem to live. There's even a guy who looks like a miner, who appears to be digging---maybe he's opening up a passageway for those two people on the right. They seem to be in from another culture, in fact, they have a gypsy-like look about them (Romania, Hungary...itinerant souls...) And the light down there is spare---but, dwelling in the earth, it can't be any lighter; and it's light enough to clarify everything. And you have these blue creatures floating around like ghosts (I see eyes); and bats (!); and lanterns; and that bucket which reminds us that this, after all, is a well (and you gave us its reflection, I think: the water is right below!)...And the guy in the hard hat is smiling---in fact, they're all smiling! What a great and fully unexplained image! With a spectacular sunrise/sunset in the background, great clouds, and of course those birds! (They decided to fly in to be sure all is in order...they're your inspectors, among other things) Love this! You have an endless imagination, Barb, just wonderful.
