I was browsing the marketplace and came across this character. I wasn't initially impressed, but I really liked the shape of the face. I figured if it went on sale, I'd pick it up and see what I could do. Well... Look, when I first saw the promotional shots I assumed I was looking at a generation 4 character. So I was hesitant to make the purchase upon discovering it was a G8F. Even though I liked the facial structure. I don't wish to be rude, but the store pics provided do not do the product justice. Take this as a bit of a review, and a showcase. I was figuring on using a different texture but upon loading the character and checking her out in iray, with default lighting no less, I realized that lighting was the problem with the store pics. Because even under default lighting, she was looking super cute! I almost left her bald because of how much I like that head shape, too. My one complaint is the lack of any anatomical details. No nipples. : ( I wanted to use some sheer fabrics to show off just how good the skin texture is. Especially for a pale-skinned model. I had to pivot. It took a bit, but I think I like what I came up with. Eyes are from the options provided, other than changing the eye reflections. There's some great detail in there, too. Now, I should mention that the teeth look a little shrink-wrapped. If I were to do this again, I think I'd mess with the material settings on the teeth a bit. I'd like to add a nose piercing, too. I figured, for now, I wanted to leave her as plain as possible in order to show her off. I think I'll do another render in a day or two taking it to the nines. I think I might have to go through Newcastler's catalog to see if any of the others stand out to me. I wonder if later models have nipples, lol. (excuse me. I'm partial. I make no apologies.) I might have to take a chance on a hair model, while I'm at it. I hope this helps convince others to make a purchase. If nothing else, I'd like to do more renders just to spread the word. Good stuff! I rate it a solid 4/5 stars, and am SOOO happy it took less work to render up as nicely as I wanted. I might see about picking up a nipple geoshell pack. I'm pretty sure I saw one somewhere. Mainly to go with that original vision I had. As far as vamp details go, she's got subtle fangs, which I actually prefer. The fingernails are from the Infernal Succubus set from Daz studio - I couldn't resist. The outfit is most of the "Impractical Adventurer" outfit. Hair is Redstudio's Short Cropped Hair. I relied on TwiztedMetal for the eye reflections again. The setting is the "Grungy High School Restroom" also from Daz. I hope you like this Newcastler! I look forward to doing more soon.
