oh this is wonderful barb...and you used near-flat hills and a big graphic sun...you don't often combine elements like this---ie, a full photographic and 3 dimensional foreground (with wonderful ceramic-like musrhooms and that wonderful home in front) against a wholly graphic 'cutout' background: I just love the combo. Those hills and sun are textured, like japanese papers (in fact the whole background is very japanese), and that huge flat sun (also japanese-like). Pure magic. Then you have those beautiful blue flowers---the blue is deep and luminous. And bluebell flowers (forgive me if I don't have the name) that are like little lights or stars. And the other growth which is both very photographic but also some is graphic in nature. (The tall grasses have real grace.) Also, the eaves of the home are wonderfully protective (the home has a face!) and I love the little fairy sitting in front, with more flat design in her wings. Your palette is a rich spring green w/ deep yellow....a beautiful piece, barb. (The front grasses almost feel underwater...) I've had so many tales in my head from your recent uploads, I just haven't been able to write them yet. But one of these days.....This is beautiful.
