Description
Just gazing up at the clouds as her hand shields her eyes from the sun while lying in a field of flowers on a spring day.

I know it’s still winter and today there’s even a “wintery mix” of weather, but I am ready for spring! So, here is a scene of some skygazing among spring flowers to get one out of the winter blues. Her hand is supposed to be shielding her eyes from most of the sunlight as she looks at the clouds but I’m not sure if I posed it right or not. What do you think? I did spend a lot of time trying to make it so that the shadow from her hand would project on her face in such a way that a sliver of light would pass through where her fingers were open for her to see up at the clouds through.

Ohhhh.... This looks soooo inviting, Lizzie! Do you think she'd mind too much if this grouchy old fart shared her lovely field of flowers? I'm so sick of being locked up, locked down, locked 17 different ways from Sunday with these "wintery mixes" not to mention covid, I'm ready to scream bloody murder!

I think you nailed the posing with her hand. You can see the shading on her face with her right eye in shadow, and the left in sunlight. The shadows are diffused just as they would be in a sunny environment like this, with the ambient sky-light. It's a challenge sometimes to get the balance just right, but you've done it here. Quite well, I might add! 👍
