Description

Happy New Year everybody! And thank you for taking the time for a visit to my gallery today. Because of numerous technical problems, my rendering computer being dismantled in particular, I was unable to connect with Sunsirae (for V3 by Giana ❤❤❤❤❤❤) for our yearly Christmas Eve chess match. However, we were able to reschedule for early this evening. Sunsirae was definitely eager to show off her new emblem for New Years. As well as her shiny new bow tie - I got her into bow ties, sorry. And yes, she won again. I really have to stop it with the absynthe until after the game is finished - #TheAbsyntheGambit. And not to worry, Simon and Sebastian did get their tuna this Christmas. Chunky not flaked - #ThankYouSanta. Sorry, no nudity. Cheers! Remember, don't drink and drive. I have to say it, it's the law. Except in Louisiana, for some reason. Wasn't Louisiana much bigger once? It just seems someone miniaturized it at some point. P.S. I am hoping to be back here more often next year now that certain problems - not all of them pandemic related - are coming to a close. P.P.S. The layout of the pieces represents the first time a beat a chess computer.

Wow, how time flies--seems like last week I was commenting on your previous Sunsirae scene.

Always enjoy your Xmas Sunsirae chess scenes. This one is wonderfully festive. I see the nearly hidden Green Fairy bottle and those tiny glasses--glad to know she hasn't given up that tradition :) Like her new "bindi" too,

I hope you had a peaceful Christmas and wishing you all the best for 2022, Clayton. Do stay healthy and safe.

Thanks Barb!

I hope the holidays were good to you and all my best for this upcoming year.

Thanks so much for your comments, I am very glad that you liked the scene. I had very little time this year and everything had to workout the first time if you know what I mean. Of course, that is my fault. My first Christmas chess match with Sunsirae was in 2007 and the resolution was not even HD. These days I try to make everything 4K and deploy indirect lighting with numerous (6) ray traced bounces. Oh, and volume generated snow effects outside. So it takes ten (10) times longer to render sometimes.

So glad you like Sunsirae's emblem. When she was a kid Sunsirae often wore the banana sticker on her forehead. And she admits it was fun to wear it again grown up. But, as an adult, she no longer wants to be anyone's billboard. Though that is hard to avoid some times, especially when your Mom gives you a new pair of driving gloves for your birthday. Ah hem-... Nevertheless, Sunsirae liked the idea of taking the style of a greedy corporate giant and morphing it into her own message. Hers also uses a better adhesive.

Happy New Year!

A most delightful scene here! And a happy and healthy 2022 to you and yours!

I wouldn't be much of a challenge for her chess game... The cat could probably beat me.... 😄
