Description

This is beautiful Lake Santeetlah, a pristine, totally unspoiled crystal clear lake in the North Carolina Mountains. It’s about 100 miles west of Asheville along the Indian Lakes Scenic Byway in the Nantahala National Forest, which is just south of the Great Smoky Mountains. The elevation there is 2,000 feet, and it’s a good sized lake with 76 miles of shoreline! I love this picture, but it really can’t capture the overwhelming feeling of awe you get when surrounded by so much natural beauty!
